Our Pastor

Pastor Billy R. Williams was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a teenager, he answered God’s call to preach the gospel in November 1966. Pastor Williams graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1970. He furthered his education by attending San Jacinto Jr. College and Mount Hope Bible College. He continues his studies by attending the College of Biblical Studies, where he has obtained numerous certifications and certificates. Pastor Williams is a member of the Independent Heights Greater Houston Pastors and Ministers Alliance, where he currently serves as President.

In 2007, Pastor Williams received the torch to carry on as senior pastor of the Christ Missionary Baptist Church located in the Independent Heights area of Houston. A man after God’s own heart, Pastor Billy was ordained to continue the works that were started by his earthly father, Pastor James H. Williams, who founded the Christ Missionary Baptist Church in 1965. Since his ordination, Pastor Billy is excited to add ministries that meet the needs of the membership and the community.

Pastor Billy Williams is one of Houston’s most sought-after ministers to serve in revivals, seminars, and conferences throughout the city. He has preached extensively throughout Texas and the Louisiana areas.

Pastor Billy R. Williams is happily married to his wife, Gleneit, and they are the proud parents of 5 adult children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
